Velox is an open-source unified execution engine created by Meta that aims to commoditize execution in data management systems. Velox is able to accelerate popular open source data platforms through the use of advanced vectorization techniques, adaptive and encoding-aware execution, and modern hardware capabilities.
VeloxCon is a free community-hosted event to discuss the Velox open-source project. You’ll hear from key engineers who are developing Velox and its integrations with popular open source compute engines for analytical workloads, such as Presto and Spark (through the Prestissimo and Gluten projects), in addition to stream processing, feature engineering and data preprocessing for ML, log messaging, and more.
Why attend VeloxCon?
Meet and network with the Velox community! You’ll hear from leaders in the Velox project on many different topics, including:
– How they use Velox today
– The Velox technical roadmap
– A look at the growth in the project
– How to join the Velox open-source project
– Project governance and future plans
